At a very delicate moment in my life, I found myself alone. If I had lost my life, no one would have noticed. I was already part of the Lord’s family, but I had great difficulty in having my needs met and my desires fulfilled. Surrounded by circumstantial difficulties, internal blockages and external barriers, I have always strived to overcome obstacles so that my life was not ‘in vain’. And having made the decision to change the course of my personal life to be guided by Jesus, I followed as much as I could of what I saw as necessary to do so. Nothing replaces relationships with other people. We were created to express love, to exchange communication, to be creative, to be connected to other people, and to creation. It’s a great joy to be able to see the wonders of nature – in the heavens, on earth, in the sea, in people – and it’s crucial to recognize the richness that God has placed in each of us.
