Are You Already Saved? (09)

This is the most important question in our lives. Why is that? Because many of us want and expect to ‘go to heaven’.

There are people who are angry at God and don’t want to get close to Him. They believe that their pain was given to them by God, that He allowed them to suffer, or even that He doesn’t care.

However, if you can be brave and put your sadness and anger to one aside a little, and give yourself the opportunity to discover the truth, you will undoubtedly be very surprised.

I have been surprised, and I know many who have been – and continue to be surprised – therefore I can write this with confidence.

You too are very much loved by the Lord God, and important for life! You just need to discover that.

The beginning of this discovery lies in believing when someone tells you, or when you read, that Jesus paid with his own life, so that you might have life. And not just now, but forever.

You might even think: ‘But I already believe in Jesus.’

And I ask you: Have you ever been baptized in water? And you can answer: ‘Yes. When I was a baby, my parents baptized me.’

Here is an example of our parents’ love, following what they think is best for us and respecting the teachings of tradition, because they believe in God.

But there’s something important to consider: It’s an individual decision… If you followed tradition and were baptized at an older age, that’s a very good thing! If you didn’t, you can still consider it.

And there’s another very important ‘thing’…: Have you received the gift of The Holy Spirit?

For in the book of Acts it is written:

‘And Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, for the promise is to you and to your children and to all who are far off, as many as God our Lord will call. And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this perverse generation. So those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day nearly three thousand souls were added…’ Acts 2:38-41 ACF Bible online

In one day almost three thousand people were saved, because they heard and considered what they were told. And having decided of their own accord, they did what they were told needed to be done. That’s why it says that almost three thousand souls were added…meaning, almost three thousand souls joined, and further on it says:

So The Word that is written in all Bibles, and which is read in many places around the world – despite the different translations and ways of teaching – contains these teachings.

If you think you don’t need to do something that is written, please consider it very well. Because in God’s love and salvation, fear must not enter, because fear prevents us from acting – but love saves us, and opens the door to the Kingdom of God…
